The Big Run Basin is the largest single watershed in Shenandoah National Park. One inch of rain in the basin equates to 200 million gallons of water. Some of the water flows into the Big Run and the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The rest of it soaks into the ground, supplying springs and plants. Exposure: 1/60 sec at ƒ / 8.0, ISO 125, 0 EV.
