Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) personnel from Camp Willis Robertson (Camp F-8) near Lyndhurst built the Torrey Ridge Trail, Turkey Pen Ridge, Kennedy Ridge, Stoney Run, Bald Mountain, Cellar Mountain, and Appalachian Trail sections. Camp F-8 built the Sherando Lake Dam and the Sherando Lake Recreation Area, and several roads.
