American Alligator 2 @ Brookgreen Gardens - Murrells Inlet, SC, USA

American Alligators are common in South Carolina. They can range in length from 11.2 to 15.1 feet (3.4 to 4.6 m) and can weigh up to 999 lbs (453 kg). You can find them in marshes and swamps, including Brookgreen Gardens on the Waccamaw River. While they can be dangerous, stay a safe distance away. I shot this Alligator in one of the gardens' ponds.
