Sandor Palace (c. 1806 reconstructed in 2002) @ Castle Hill - Budapest, Hungary, EU
Completed in 1806, it served as the private residence of Count Vincent Sándor and his family until the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. After the revolution, the palace served as a government building and a home for government officials. During World War II, allied aircraft bombed Sándor Palace, leaving it in ruins. It was renovated in 2002 and has served as the home and offices of the President of Hungary since 2003.
